Trent Hills Chamber of Commerce, along with the Municipality of Trent Hills, and Regional Tourism Organization 8, engaged Bannikin to co-create a Tourism Development Plan for Trent Hills. From the start, the goal was to have a community-informed plan to guide destination development for the next 3-years.
Following the strategy development process, Bannikin supported with implementation. Team members facilitated a series of business capacity-building workshops focussed on introducing industry to the plan and enhancing the visitor-experience across the entire visitor journey.

Outcome
The plan identifies four key areas of opportunity for tourism development, including, tourism infrastructure development, stakeholder engagement, product development, and destination marketing. 15 tourism development strategies are associated with these areas of opportunity. The strategy is supported by an implementation plan that maps out the 15 strategies across a 3-year timeline, with details around partners, budget, outcomes, KPI, etc. The plan was unanimously accepted by Council.
